An air receiver stores compressed air, damps the pulsating flow coming off the compressor and holds a stable pressure to the rest of the plant — a core part of any well-designed compressor station. It also reduces how often the compressor has to start and stop. Tanks are available from 0.3 up to 50 m³ with design pressures from 8 to 40 bar, and can be supplied in Q235B carbon steel or 304/316 stainless steel to suit the application.
