The EDVB series is a belt-driven, two-stage rotary vane vacuum pump combining high- and low-vacuum stages, commonly used as the backing pump for a roots vacuum pump to reach higher vacuum. A positive-pressure oil system ensures proper lubrication and prevents oil starvation under high gas loads, an optional electromagnetic differential-pressure valve prevents oil backflow, and a gas ballast valve allows operation with condensable vapours. It serves vacuum coating, heat treatment, smelting, chemical, pharmaceutical and laboratory duty, with flows from 15 to 360 m³/h.
