The ER series is a positive-displacement roots (mechanical booster) vacuum pump used on top of a backing pump to reach middle and high vacuum quickly. Its oil-free, non-contact seal design eliminates oil return and contamination, and improved sealing reduces bearing-cavity oil emulsification, all with stable, low-vibration, low-noise operation. Paired with a liquid ring pump it can also pump large quantities of water vapour. Applications include vacuum smelting, welding, casting, coating, drying and pharmaceuticals, with speeds from 150 to 5,000 L/s.
